Sitting across the table from Trini at breakfast, she's staring at me.
Me: what are you lookin' at?
Trini: you know, you are my heart.
Me: what?
Trini: you're my heart, my whole heart, you know that right?

Trini walked in while I was watching this video.
Me: Hey, whats up?
Trini: What are they doing?
Me: They're dancing, don't they look like they're having fun?
Trini: Well... No.
Me: No? I think they do. I wish I could dance like that.
Trini: That doesn't look like fun and I wish I COULDN'T dance like that.
Me: You can dance like that?
Trini, sighs: Yeaah.
Me: Can I see?
She dances around with kicks and twirling.
Me: Awe, you're so lucky you can dance like them without any practice or anything.
Trini: yeah, but you were wrong, its not fun to dance like that.

We were supposed to go to the Ice Cream Festival today... A festival that only costs a few bucks but you get all you can eat ice cream and tons of cool things to do. But by the time we got there, there was no place to park! So Grandma Barbara had a brilliant idea that we would just go to Dairy Queen and have our OWN all you can eat ice cream festival.
So we did.
This is Trini's first ever Banana Split! After this, she shared a strawberry banana smoothie with me and she was done.
When we were done with the ice cream at Dairy Queen, we went to the "Dinosaur Park".. It has a different name, but we can never remember the name... I think its like Nature Discovery Park or something like that.

Trini handed something to Ross.
Ross: thank you
Trini: you know you don't have to thank me right?
Ross: I do if I want to make sure you grow up with good manners. Leading by example don't you know.
Trini sighs: sometimes I just don't understand you...

Trini: Momma, Gavin did what you told him to do.
Me: What did I tell him to do?
Trini: You know, you told him... something.
Me: But I don't remember what I told him to do...
Trini: Uhhh... To.... Respect your.... Uhmmm, order of... Madness?
Me, trying not to laugh:I said what?
Trini, also trying not to laugh but fails mid sentence: To respect your order of madness.
Me: and he did that huh?
Trini: Yup!

Trini has decided she wants a BIG princess, princes and pirates birthday party for her 5th birthday. Even though its like 9 months away she's already planning it. So far she has picked her dress, crown and shoes and decided EVERYONE is invited but they have to come dressed as a pirate, prince, or princess... We'll see how much,(if at all) that changes between now and then haha

Because we did Foster Care for so long, Trini got used to always having a baby in the house. But for the past couple months we haven't had a baby... We started explaining that we wont be having foster babies anymore even before our last one left. Once that one was gone, she didn't really seem to think about it very much (or if she did, she didn't say anything)... Well, Every. Single. Day for the past three weeks or so she has randomly come up to me and said "So, we're not ever going to have another baby?" or any similar line leading to the same point. When this first started, I sat her down and explained that we don't do foster care anymore so we wont be getting any new babies because we only used to get babies because we were doing foster care and she seemed to understand (it helped that I had explained what foster care was long before this conversation enough times that SHE could tell ME what it was lol) and just went on and played as per usual. As time went on when she'd ask about a baby I began to explain that *maybe* in the future she *might* have a baby brother or sister, but we don't *know*. Well, for the first time since all this has started, she asked TWICE in one day... And our last conversation did a WHOLE lot of explaining...
Trini: Momma, so we're never going to have another baby ever again?
Me: Trini, I told you, I really just don't know.
Trini: But I like babies.
Me: Oh me too, Babygirl! I LOVE babies.
Trini: Me too... So can we have one?
Me: No, I told you, we don't do foster care anymore.
Trini: I know, but you could grow one in your belly.
Me: Oh, Trini, just because I HAVE grown one, doesn't mean that I can again.
Trini: But could you try?
Me: Why do you want me to grow one?
Trini: Because I love babies so much.
Me: I love babies too, but that doesn't mean I should just grow one.
Trini, bottom lip out: But I want a sister... or a brother would be ok too I guess.
Me: But if you had a sister or brother everything would change.
Trini: Like what?
Me: Well, once the baby started sleeping through the night, you wouldn't have you own room anymore. You'd have to share with the baby.
Trini: I can do that.
Me: And as it is right now, you get pretty much all the attention. With a new baby, a lot of the attention would go to the baby.
Trini: Thats OK, I'd give the baby attention too.
Me: Babies aren't babies forever, they grow up.
Trini: Thats ok because I'll be growing too, we can grow up together and I can teach her to play
Me: Her? What if its a boy?
Trini: Yeah, I'd teach him. WHAT IF ITS TWO BABIES a boy AND a girl?!
Me: Whoa now, hold on there, there's not even one baby yet!
Trini: But there will beeeee
And then I completely lost her because now she's in BabyLand.
Annnd, one more pic of Trini.
